Cabin Furnishings

Our goal

We want our resort to be warm, friendly and comfortable.  Old, quaint and definitely north woodsy….but not totally modern.  Each cabin must be comfortable and take you to a different year in time.  Your cabin must exude uniqueness and allow you to fully enjoy your vacation.

The cabin will have a functional kitchen, dishes, cooking utensils and appliances, comfortable beds and private sleeping quarters.  A living area with sofas and TV (rabbit ear antennas) to catch the weather report will be cozy.  North woods ambiance dictates stained wood when possible and open ceilings with the rafters showing through.  Insulated walls to maximize the inside climate.  Windows that open allowing the fresh lake air to penetrate inside on those warm summer evenings.  Screens to keep out mosquitoes.  Porches for places to relax, entertain, and enjoy the view.

 What is furnished with each cabin?

All cottages have large refrigerators and gas stoves.  Tripoli, White Swan, Grantman and Clover Leaf have a second fridge to keep beverages and food cold and ready to consume.  Also, there are plenty of tables and chairs with places to store things.  Don’t bring your TVs.  Each cabin has a color TV to view the local channels. 

 What cleaning supplies and linens are furnished with my cabin?

Dish soap, ajax, pine sol, SOS pads, garbage bags, dish towels, dish rags and toilet paper are supplied.  We furnish mattress pads, pillows, blankets and spreads for each bed.  You must bring bed linens, sheets, towels, washcloths and pillowcases (except weekend packages).

 What about the kitchen?

All kitchens are fully furnished with pots, pans, dishes, silverware, coffee pots and electric fry pans.  However you must wash your own dishes.

 Is there hot water?

Each cabin has hot water.  The bathroom has a stool, sink, and shower.  Sorry, but the outhouses had to go a few years back.

 What if the electricity goes out?

The water, gas, and electric lines are all buried underground.  There is no need to worry about power lines coming down during storms.  If the electricity goes out, our backup power generator will kick in and everything will be normal.

Clover Leaf has 2 bedrooms with 2 double beds, a set of bunks and a pullout sofa.  A large kitchen with living area includes a screen porch with a great view of the lake.
Log Cabin has 2 bedrooms both with double beds, a pull out sofa sleeper, nice kitchen and living area.  Nestled quietly in the corner of the grounds.
Swan at the lakes edge has 3 bedrooms, 2 double beds, a double size bunk bed, large kitchen/living area and front porch facing lake.  Walk out directly to the lake.
Tripoli is a very large log cabin (approximately 120 years old) with 3 bedrooms, 2 double beds, a double size bunk bed, large living/kitchen area and screened front porch.  It has a great view and easy access to the lake.
Look Out is very cozy next to the lake with a double bed, a bunk bed, open kitchen/family area and has knotty pine walls.  Right next to the water with the waves putting you asleep at night.
Grantman has 2 bedrooms both with double beds, pull out sofa sleeper, living room, kitchen and sunny porch facing lake.  It has direct access to the lake.
